About

Ok if you’ve made it this far you are probably curious about who I am or what I do. earlb.com is a launching point for various things I do on the web. I shoot documentary photos and videos. Most of my work is documenting humanitarian efforts. This has taken me from documenting Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi to going to Thailand with a refugee to find their old refugee camp.

Brief Background

From 1990-1996 I was a professional musician in the band 4am. We traveled the country and were able to write and produce two CDs. We also built our own studio and were at the forefront of the WWW having our entire CD online in 1995.

In 1997 I started an Internet Service Provider, WebShoppe,  and shortly thereafter a phone company, WebShoppe Communications. We were the first to provide broadband services in our area using wireless technology and soon became a DSL provider.

In 2004 I sold both companies and set out on a new path in life.

When Hurricane Katrina hit I began using my technology skills to document the lack of response along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I also gathered stories of survivors and of the grassroots effort to provide relief in the area.

Since Katrina I have traveled around the world telling the stories of those in need and those who are helping.
